hyrox training
HYROX is coming to Perth again on 21–23 August 2026, and we have built a 17 week training program to help you prepare.
The program combines our Fitness, Strength & Conditioning and Virtual Run Club classes to help you become fit, strong and capable.
Even if you don’t sign up for HYROX this year, you can still join the program.
The goal is to build the strength, fitness, running capacity and confidence to know that you could finish it.
strong. fit. Capable
Our 17 week HYROX Perth training program includes:
- 3 weekly run sessions — threshold, tempo and long easy — tailored to your personal run paces and synced to your watch.
- Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels to meet you where you are and build towards running 8 x 1km with confidence.
- A 3 day program to build the strength needed for the Sled Push, Sled Pull, Lunge Walk and Farmer Carry.
- Squats, Deadlifts and Olympic lifting to develop a surplus of strength that carries over to HYROX and beyond.
- A 3 day program to improve your Rowing, Skiing, Burpee Broad Jumps and Wall Balls
- Mixed workouts to condition your body for running under fatigue and develop muscular endurance.
- HYROX Simulations in Weeks 8 and 12 to test your preparation and practise race-day pacing.
Why hyrox?
HYROX gives us a clear goal to train towards.
To do well in HYROX, you need to be strong and fit.
We help runners develop the strength and muscle endurance they need to handle the workout stations.
We help lifters improve their cardio fitness and running capacity so they can keep moving under fatigue.
Whether you race solo, race in a pair, chase a time, or simply want to finish, we have a program for you.
We’ll meet you where you are and help you build the fitness, strength and capability you need to finish race day proud.

Do I have to enter HYROX to do the training?
No. In fact, most people won’t.
You can join the 17 week training program any time without entering HYROX. The event gives us a useful target, but the real goal is to become fitter, stronger and more capable.
How does the 17 week program work?
Our 17 week focus combines three core parts of our program:
Fitness for HYROX-style conditioning, ergs, sleds, carries, lunges, wall balls and mixed workouts.
Strength & Conditioning for the strength base needed to handle the workload.
Run Club for the running capacity and pacing confidence needed for HYROX.
You don’t need to do everything, but the best preparation will come from combining all three.
Which class should I start with?
Start with Fitness.
Fitness will be the main HYROX-focused class during the 17 week program.
If you want to prepare more completely, add Strength & Conditioning and Virtual Run Club around it.
Add Strength & Conditioning if you’re worried about the sled push, sled pull, lunges or farmer carries.
Add Virtual Run Club if you don’t currently have a structured run program and want progressive sessions to follow each week.
Is this only for advanced members?
No.
The training can be scaled to different levels. Each class has 3 different program levels and you absolutely don’t need to be “HYROX ready” before you start.
The 17 week program is designed to build you from the ground up and help you be fully prepared by the end of the program to complete a full HYROX either solo or in a pair.
Will every class just be HYROX movements?
No.
HYROX will guide the focus, but the program will still include a broader mix of strength, conditioning, running and functional fitness.
We’ll train the qualities needed for HYROX without making every session a copy of the race.
In fact, doing a broader mix of movements will better prepare you for the challenge of HYROX.
What if I only want to get fitter and don’t care about racing?
That’s completely fine.
This program is just as useful if your goal is to get fitter, stronger, leaner and more confident in your training.
HYROX is the target. Capability is the outcome.
Do I need to be a member to do the program?
Yes.
To make it an easy decision though all new and returning (haven’t been a member past 6 months) members can start with our $99 first month OFFER, which includes unlimited classes.
